River HongBao 2010

Posted by: Suleen P.B. in ,

We're back from Batam!
Got back on Friday night, spent a busy Saturday accompanying lil sis-in-law to NTU for her entrance exams, then sending her back to the ferry terminal at night to catch the last ferry home.

Headed to River HongBao for awhile.
Our first time visiting the River HongBao. Yea mountain tortoises I know.

The malt candy dragon. Guess it was really hot cause the dragon was like melting away right before our eyes. Looks yummy though.

I love this! Dragon and Phoenix, put together using porcelain cutleries. So cool.

Close up of the cutleries.

We were squeezing with tons of people. The God of Fortune was spraying out some tiny gold colored papers, and everybody were struggling to grab them. Best still, I saw some aunties opening their plastic bags toward the sky, hoping to catch more of the papers. (No I didn't try to catch the papers of course.)

Hubby laughed when he spotted this shop. Smart choice, to have this at the River HongBao event. Bet it's business is the best.

Photos all taken with my handphone, yes blur.
