Daily Bits - 11th Nov 09

Decided to add a new category to my blog posts : Daily Bits. These are small talks or actions that happens anytime anywhere, but not significant enough to take up an entire blog post. They can be forgotten easily too, but they're interesting, so I hope to note them down, and in future I can read them.

Lost & Found Cuttlefish
Two days ago my hubby hid away my bag of cuttlefish when he caught me eating it on a morning with an empty stomach. I didn't look for it, as it will be damn time consuming, considering the fact that he will hide it at places where I cannot reach. But today his mum was clearing the house and she found it. I immediately LOL at him when the bag of cuttlefish was given back to me...effortlessly. (anyway after that I snacked on it while lying on the bed, I dozed off and the bed got messed up with cuttlefish...got a scolding from him. Ouch.)

Hello?
Today I rushed to view my clients at Selegie Road alone, when Daniel couldn't finish settling his documents in office. Halfway through the viewing, my phone rang, unknown number.
Me : Hello?
Caller : Hello, I want to view the office at Selegie Road.
Me : (pauses for a moment cause voice sounds like Daniel) err...Sorry, you are?
Caller : Wa! You cannot recognise your own husband's voice!?!?
Me : shit, I knew it. (got tricked again)

Consent Forms
Some time ago...
Dan : from now on, if you want to buy something, you need to fill my consent form.
Me : Consent form?
Dan : Yes, write the item you want to buy, write a short paragraph of why you must buy it.
Dan : Need at least 3 working days to proceed, and subject to approval.
Me : =(

Yesterday...
Dan : I stomachache, must faster go home to use the toilet.
Me : Ok, but must fill in my consent form first.
Me: Write a short paragraph of why I must let you use the toilet.
Me: Need at least 3 working days to proceed, and subject to approval. Hohoho~
Dan : !!!

6 years 5 Months. =)

I <3 Taimei

Fun recommended this Taiwanese shop at Bugis Street, selling all the famous Taiwan bites. So the 3 of us went to give it a try...

The shop's unique name, even all the meal sets are named after famous hot Taiwanese celebrities like Jolin Tsai, Lin Chiling etc.

Fun ordered the 'Lin Chiling' set, which consisted of wintermelon drink, fried tofu and mee sua. My hubby ordered the 'Jolin Tsai' set, which consisted of chicken cutlet and milk tea. The milk tea was really full of milk, and we guessed they named it 'Jolin Tsai' because of this reason too. Lol. The chicken cutlet is really thick, very worth it. The food is pretty good, worth a try.

The shop is located at the back of bugis street, beside the durian stall. Do visit if you're free. And...Von, I think you'll like this shop. =)

McDonald's Monopoly

Posted by: Suleen P.B. in , ,

Does anyone not know about this? Lol.

It's fun, to collect the cards and stick them on the gameboard. When you enter mac, you see almost everyone analyzing their cards, when you visit online forums, many people are discussing about what cards they have either. Some of them even tried calculating the chances of getting those 'rare' cards by using Probability. So funny.

I got caught on the craze as well, not that I enjoy eating mac that much. But the process of opening the cards is really interesting. I guess so far the best card we got is the Star Cruise (3rd and 4th pax free). Have not planned how and when to use it yet. =)

Was checking the forums. Apparently U.S. is playing this monopoly as well, but they have a daily win of USD$1 million, my goodness. It's USD$1 million! And it's daily! Why are we all struggling to get that pathetic one and only $50k? One forum member even commented that the chance of betting North Korea to win in the World Cup is even higher than getting the 'Sentosa Cove' card for the $50k. I'm not sure if that's really true, but it sure is funny. Hahaha~

Opening soon! (I really like their steaks.) It's like just beside our house, 2 minutes' walk. And there's like Subway, Starbucks, Pizzahut and so many eateries. I'm spoilt for choices. =)

Orchard Central with Gil

Posted by: Suleen P.B. in , ,

Long overdue. Am really busy, handling many things. Exceptionally busy this week, I've totally neglected my farm in facebook. Lol.

Met up with Gil last week, for some shopping and food. We went orchard central, cause I haven't really walked the entire shopping centre yet. Nothing much there, only the food interests me.

Walked past the Tokyo Fruit Tarts shop, decided to have a try. I find it very costly, around $8.30 per slice, or $80 for the whole tart. Serious. But the taste is pretty good, and all their tarts look very lovely.

Dinner I decided on the Korean restaurant on the 8th floor, Nolboo Hangari Galbi (if I'm not wrong). Well Gil recommended the food to me several times, and I was craving for kimchi, so I insisted on having this. Poor Gil, each time she went to Orchard Central, the person she was accompanying will request to eat at this Korean restaurant. (She told me to mention this in my blog) =)

The recommended Tang Hoon. I really like it, it's delicious. Better if they remove all the carrots.

Side dishes, if you order their BBQ meat. Seriously, you can get full just by eating these.

Our BBQ meat. It's yummy. We chose the one with the special marination.

With specky Gil. We had trouble finishing the food, though we only ordered the meat and the tang hoon. So don't order too much if you want to give it a try. =)

Time to work again.
